Keeping an urn at your home
Many people feel that they are better able to process their grief if they can remain close to the deceased after death.
In such cases, you may choose to keep the urn at your home instead of organising a burial in the cemetery. For this, you will require an official permit from the relevant municipality of residence (in Vienna, the MA 40). Our staff can advise you on the necessary formalities.

Shortfall in cemetery charges
Storing the urn at your home is by far the least expensive option. Cemetery fees comprise a significant portion of the burial expenses, and the “urn at home” option allows you to save this money.
Alternative funeral types
Angel babies
Infants who die during pregnancy or at birth are known as “angel babies”. We will assist if you wish to hold a funeral ceremony in Munich for an angel baby, and we will keep the expenses of such a ceremony to a minimum.
Urn Burial
Cremation, or incineration, is an alternative to burial. In this case, the body is placed in a wooden casket and burned.
Munich welfare funeral
When a death occurs, Bestattung Himmelblau are there to help, regardless of your income level. In principle, you are actually legally required to cover funeral expenses for your immediate family.
